Julie liked the details on the feathers in Fiona's picture of a flamingo taken in Edinburgh Zoo. The bird is in focus with blurred background.
Fiona was pleased with her snail with its interesting background.

Gillian was pleased with her pair of dogs.
Neil admired Gillian's wasp sitting on the path. The wasp is beautifully in focus with all the detail. The unfocussed path makes an interesting and attractive backdrop.

We liked Joyce's lambs taken in the Pentlands.
Joyce was pleased with her sparrow on a Jasmine plant

Alex admired Julie's gecko taken just before it disappeared into the hole.
Julie chose her moorhen which she was surprised to find in a busy area.

Slugs and snails and puppy dogs' tails... Les was pleased with his slug, placed strategically on a leaf.
Fiona chose Les's snail for its texture and the fact that the eye was visible and apparently looking at you.
