Thursday Group went to Mortonhall for their outing. One of the results was several pictures of the same highland cows, only some of which are shown here!

The first of our cow collection, Sue chose this sad cow from Joe. Is it asleep - no, I see an eye open.
Joe changed his wispy tree to black and white. He liked the shapes.

Neil's is the second of our cows, which seems to be doing contortions. Chosen by Ingrid.
Neil liked his country scene taken at the Gunpowder Works at Roslin.

Another cow, this time from Sandra. She liked the way the light caught the back of the cow and how it has its eyes closed, oblivious to all the pictures being taken.
And for a change, a pheasant. We liked this one from Sandra - a simple shot of the bird with a simple country background.

And this time a horse, from Sue chosen by Ruth. She liked the contrast between horse and harness.
Another popular subject - meconopsis, but this is unusual in its colour - meconopsis gakyidiana.

And this time an unusual pose for a cat. Morag's picture, chosen herself.
Sonia liked Morag's country garden.The colours of bike and flowers made a very attractive picture.
