This time we produced fewer pictures than usual as we were also doing an editing challenge. The topic was "In a rush", which of course involved catching the feeling of speed.

Both Anne herself and Fiona liked this shot of just legs, clearly in a hurry. Fiona thought the focal point was the still trainer in the centre of the shot.

Athol was pleased with his speeding boat, which takes up a good position in the picture.

Bob managed to capture the rushing water in the Water of Leith, especially in the middle of the picture.

Brian had taken some magnificant pictures of cyclists doing amazing feats. This "Superman" seems almost to be rushing out of the frame.

Les admired Fiona's picture taken at the Cycle Event in Scotland. He thought it showed the movement, in fact the speed, while keeping the background sharply in focus.

In this case it was the photographer (Gillian) who was rushing by, passing a stationary Forth rail bridge.

One of the techniques for capturing movement is to pan the moving item. Marthe worked hard trying this out and this was her most successful attempt. She realises now that it would be even better with more space round the moving vehicle.
